The Manhattan Gaels exist to allow folks the chance to participate in Ireland’s traditional sports including Gaelic Football and Hurling. It is a Club that welcomes all, men and women, novices and experienced hands, young and old. Formed in 2012 by a dedicated group that wanted to bring Gaelic games to Manhattan, the Club’s entry of a team into the greater NY GAA Junior Gaelic Football Championship in 2013, constitutes the first time a Manhattan-based team will be participating in this storied competition in a quarter-century.
Imbued with a tremendous spirit and energy since our founding – as exemplified by several dozen folks attending training sessions in mid-December! – the Manhattan Gaels plans to prosper into one of the region’s strongest Gaelic Athletic Clubs promoting Ireland’s ancient sports!!
Whether you have played before, haven’t played in years or are interested in trying a new sport, come join us on Randall’s Island, Field #74 every Tuesday from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.
We look forwarding to welcoming you to the team!
Bígí linn, beidh fáilte is fiche roimh cách!
